ORDER
This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to quash the final report filed as against the petitioner for the offence under Section 498(A), 506(ii) of IPC and 4 of Tamil Nadu Prohibition of Harassment of Women Act.
2. The allegation is that the petitioner(A2), and A1 being her son, who are mother-in-law and husband of the defacto complainant, along with others, subjected the defacto complainant to cruelty, both physically and mentally. After completion of investigation, the final report has been filed. The same is sought to be challenged on the ground that there are no materials against the petitioner/A2.
3. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (crl. Side) appearing for the first respondent and perused the materials available on records carefully. 2/4

On perusal of the statement of the defacto complainant/victim, this Court is of the view that she has made a specific statement against the petitioner,mother-in-law and the allegations have to be gone into and tested only during trial. In such view of the matter, I do not find any merit to quash the FIR.
5. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed.
