This criminal original petition has been filed to direct the respondent to file a final report in Crime No.1161 of 2016 on the file of Inspector of Police, Virugambakkam Police Station, Chennai within a time frame.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent.

3. It is seen that the First Information Report was registered on 29.09.2016 under Section 174 Cr.P.C, but till date, the police have not taken any action in this regard. 4.The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) submitted that the matter has been received only now by the respondent police. 5.Taking into consideration, the nature of the allegations in the FIR, the respondent police is directed to complete the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

enquiry in Crime No.1161 of 2016 within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and either file a final report or closure report, as the case may be under due intimation to the de facto complainant.
