O R D E R
This revision arises against the judgment of learned Subordinate Judge, Uthangarai, on 14.07.2016, passed in Crl.M.P.No.23/2016 in S.C.No.10 of 2013.
2. Petitioner and respondents 2 to 4 are facing prosecution u/s. 241, 448,323, 506(1) IPC r/w Sec.3 of TNPPDL Act in case pending in S.C.No.10 of 2013 on the file of learned Subordinate Judge, Uthangarai. Petitioner and respondents 2 to 4 moved Crl.M.P.No.23 of 2016 for examination of officials as witnesses. On the dismissal of such petition, the present revision stands filed.
3. Heard learned counsel for petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

In dismissing the Crl.M.P.No.23 of 2016, Court below has taken note of the position that the purpose of the petitioner/accused seeking examination of officials as witnesses would be served by obtaining certified copies of official records and producing the same before Court. In such circumstances, it found acceptable the contention of the State that the petition was only an attempt to protract proceedings.
5. We find no reason to interfere with the order of the Court below. The petition shall stand dismissed. This Criminal Revision is dismissed. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
