Respondents PRAYER: Petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a writ of Mandamus to direct respondent Nos. 4 & 5 consider and take appropriate action on the petitioners representation dated 02.04.2018 thereby direct them not to grant any permission for reverting back liquor shops to their earlier premises which were originally located along and in proximity of National/State Highways and already shifted to some other locations/places in the interest of general public and interest of justice.

ORDER

(Made by Ms.Indira Banerjee, Chief Justice) This writ petition in public interest has been filed to prevent reopening of 18 liquor shops along National Highway 45.

2. The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing on behalf of the State respondents submits that, as of now, no decision has been taken.

3. Since no decision has been taken, the writ petition is premature. It is, however, expected that before any decision is taken, the respondent authorities will consider the representation, if any, made by the petitioner. The writ petition is disposed of accordingly.
