ORDER

This petition has been filed to direct the respondents to permit the petitioner to perform Chithirai Thiruvizha in Aulmighu Angalaparameswari Temple, Periyaodappankuppam village, Ulundurpet, Villupuram, on 15.04.2018 and to afford police protection based on the representation dated 09.04.2018. 2.It is the case of the petitioner that he is having a private temple viz., Aulmighu Angalaparameswari Temple in Periyaodappankuppam village, Ulundurpet, Villupuram and thus, https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

he intends to celebrate Chithirai Thiruvizha festival on 15.04.2018. Therefore, he seeks police protection. 3.In the considered opinion of this Court, police protection cannot be granted to individual persons. Since there appears to be a dispute between the petitioner and the other rival group, the police shall ensure that no law and order problem takes place in and around the place on 15.04.2018. If any law and order problem arises, it is open to the police to take action against any person, including the petitioner herein. This criminal original petition is disposed of with the above direction.
