ORDER : The Court Made the following order :- The petitioner apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the alleged offence punishable under Sections 4(1)(aaa), 4(1-A) of TNP Act and Sections 420, 468 & 471 of IPC, in Crime No.63 of 2022, seeks anticipatory bail.

2. The case of the prosecution is that on 22.02.2022 at about 17.00 hrs, upon the secret information, the respondent police had conducted a prohibition ride near Neivilaku Andarkaadu. At that time, the 1st accused was standing behind her house in a suspected manner. Upon investigation, the respondent police seized 60 boxes each containing 48 bottles of 180 ml brandy and 110 litres of I.D. arrack. The accused person confessed that he had purchased the bottles from the petitioner herein. Hence, the complaint.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is an innocent person and no way connected with the alleged offence. implicated in this case. Hence he prays to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

4. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submits that there are three cases previous cases pending against the petitioner and hence he vehemently opposed to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

5. Taking into consideration the allegations and also the bad antecedent of the petitioner, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.
