..Respondent(s) PRAYER - This Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, seeking a Writ of Mandamus, directing the Respondents herein to consider and dispose of the representation dated 10.01.2026 regarding the grant of patta in the name of the petitioner in respect of house plot situated in Survey No.830/ 1B3 (Part) in Thenpathi Athur Village, Chengalpattu Taluk and District by measuring the above said property by a Government surveyor within a limited time frame.

This Writ Petition has been filed to direct the respondents to issue patta in favour of the petitioner for the property morefully disclosed in the affidavit filed in support of this Writ Petition. The petitioner has filed supporting documents along with this Writ Petition in support of representation seeking for grant of patta in the name of the petitioner.
2.Mr.R.P.Murugan Raja, learned Government Advocate, accepts notice on behalf of the respondents.
3.No prejudice would be caused to the respondents if a direction is issued to the 3rd respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 10.01.2026, seeking for grant of patta for the subject property on merits and in accordance with law, after giving due consideration to the supporting documents produced by the petitioner and after hearing all the necessary parties, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court. This Court is not expressing any opinion on the merits of the petitioner's representation.
4.For the foregoing reasons, this Writ Petition is disposed of by directing the 3rd respondent to pass final orders on merits and in accordance with law on the representation of the petitioner dated 10.01.2026, after giving due consideration to the supporting documents produced by the petitioner and after hearing all the necessary parties, within a period of twelve weeks thereafter.
