Respondents Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking a writ of mandamus to direct the respondents to give preference to petitioner in the appointment of Graduate Teacher (Mathematics) and appoint the petitioner to the said post based on possessing the requisite qualification for the said post and passing of Tamil Nadu Teacher Eligibility Test conducted by the Teacher Recruitment Board, in August, 2013 (Roll No.13TE34213173-Pass Mark 97/150) prior to the appointment of Teacher consequent on the TET conducted in April 2017. O R D E R

By way of filing this writ petition, the petitioner seeks a direction to the respondents to give preference to her in the appointment of Graduate Teacher (Mathematics) and thereby appoint her to the said post based on possessing the requisite qualification for the said post and passing of Tamil Nadu Teacher Eligibility Test conducted by the Teacher Recruitment Board, in August, 2013.

2. It is stated by the learned counsel for the petitioner that the petitioner has secured 97 marks out of 150 marks in the Tamil Nadu Teacher Eligibility Test conducted by the Teacher Recruitment Board in August, 2013. It is further stated that after the certificate verification in which she took https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

part in January, 2013, till date, she has not been issued with any communication whether she has been selected or not. Therefore, she made a representation dated 27.02.2017, but, the same was not considered till date. Hence, learned counsel for the petitioner prayer for a direction to the respondents to consider the pending representation dated 27.02.2017 of the petitioner.

3. Mr.P.Sanjay Gandhi, learned Additional Government Pleader, by accepting notice for the respondents, sought for sufficient time to consider the pending representation of the petitioner.

4. Considering the limited prayer of the petitioner, this Court, without going into the merits of the matter, directs the respondents to consider the representation dated 27.02.2017 of the petitioner on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. With this direction, the writ petition is disposed of. No Costs.
