Prayer: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 04.03.2024 regarding the conduct of the festival of Shri Mahamariyamman Temple, Pottakollai for a period of Sixteen days as per customary practice and to dispose of the same.

This Writ Petition is filed to direct the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 04.03.2024 regarding the conduct of the festival of Shri Mahamariyamman Temple, Pottakollai, for a period of Sixteen days as per customary practice and to dispose of the same.

2. Subject to law and order, the police can take appropriate decision for providing permission to conduct temple festival. The petitioner cannot, as a matter of right, claims protection to conduct temple festival as and when they like.
