Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for the relief of issuance of Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, calling for the records of the 1st respondent relating to the order in Pro.Na.Ka.No.13690/2014/Ni.3, dated 03.03.2015 and to quash the above said proceedings and for a consequential directions to the respondents to reinstate the petitioner in service with consequential benefits.

ORDER

The petitioner has been working as a Junior Assistant in the Office of the Panchayat Union at Veerapandi, Salem District. While so, the 1st respondent by his order dated 03.03.2015 placed the petitioner under suspension under Rule 17(e) of The Tamil Nadu Civil Services (Discipline and Appeal) Rules. Challenging the above said order of suspension, the petitioner is now before this court. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

2. I have heard Mr.M.Ravi, the learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.M.E.Rani Selvam, the learned Additional Government Pleader who takes notice for the respondents 1 and 2 and Mr.Roofus Abraham, the learned Government Advocate, who takes notice for the 3rd respondent and also perused the records carefully.

The learned counsel for the petitioner, during the course of hearing of this writ petition, submitted that though the challenge is to the order of suspension, the petitioner would be satisfied, if a direction is issued to the respondents to expedite the disciplinary proceedings within a stipulated time.

3. In view of the above submission of the learned counsel for the petitioner and the facts and circumstances of the case, this court directs the 1st respondent to complete the disciplinary proceedings initiated against the petitioner and pass final orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. This writ petition is accordingly disposed of. No costs.
