This petition has been filed to direct the respondent to register the complaint dated 06.12.2015 preferred by the petitioner against the named persons and to take appropriate action against them.
2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the State.
3. On the complaint given by the petitioner, the petition enquiry is pending in CSR No.547 of 2015. It is seen that the respondent police have addressed a letter to the Tahsildar, Salem, calling for certain information about the genuineness of the licence and the area of operation and the report is awaited. Under such circumstances, the respondent police is directed to proceed with the enquiry after obtaining the report from the Tahsildar and either register an FIR or close the case under due intimation to the petitioner.
