Respondents Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a writ of Habeas Corpus calling for the records in Memo B.C.D.F.G.I.S.S.S.V.No.67/2021 passed by the 2nd respondent on 11.05.2021, on the file of the 2nd respondent and quash the same as illegal and consequently direct the respondents to produce the petitioner's son Chella @ Selvakumar, son of Kuppusamy, aged about 30 years, before this Court, who now detained in the Central Prison, Trichy and set him at liberty.

ORDER

[Made by P.N.PRAKASH, J.] The petitioner challenges the impugned order of detention in B.C.D.F.G.I.S.S.S.V.No.67/2021 dated 11.05.2021 detaining her son as "Sexual Offender", as contemplated under Section 2(ggg) of the Tamil Nadu Act 14 of 1982.

The learned Additional Public Prosecutor reports that the order of detention passed against the detenu has been revoked by the Government by its order in G.O.Rt.No.3272, Home, Prohibition and Excise (XI) Department, dated 26.07.2021 and he has also produced a copy of the Government Order. Recording the same, this Habeas Corpus Petition stands closed.
