ORDER
The petitioner has filed this writ petition seeking a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to direct the respondents to appoint him in the post of "Veterinary Inspector" by considering his representation dated 06.01.2021.
2. The petitioner's name was sponsored through employment exchange for the post of "Veterinary Inspector" and on that score a call letter was sent to him on 14.05.2010 and he was directed to make his appearance before the first respondent on 08.06.2010 with all relevant documents. Accordingly the petitioner made his appearance and he was also informed that appointment letter will be sent to him shortly after the selection list was prepared. Despite there were 174 vacant post, the respondent have filled up only 158 posts and 16 posts are lying vacant.
3. The contention of the petitioner is that he is eligible to be filled in one among the 16 post but so far his name has not been included in the selection process. Consequently, the petitioner has filed a writ petition in W.P.No.32246 of 2016 seeking a writ of mandamus to consider his
representation and a direction has also been issued. However, it is submitted by the petitioner that no orders have been passed so far in compliance of the said direction.
4. Mr.T.Chezhiyan, the learned Additional Government Pleader, submitted that in pursuant to the direction of this Court the representation of the petitioner was considered and an order has been passed on 20.09.2021 stating that the petitioner falls under MBC G (NP) category for which only 19 posts were allocated and the petitioner did not come under the zone of consideration within the 19 posts reserved for the said category.
5. However, the learned counsel of the petitioner submitted that the order passed in this regard has not been served on the petitioner so far.
6. In such case the respondents shall serve a copy of the order dated 20.09.2021 to the petitioner within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. It is up to the petitioner to challenge the said order if so advised.
6. With the above order, this writ petition is disposed. No costs. 18.03.2024 Index: Yes / No Speaking order / Non-speaking order bkn
