Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for the issuance of writ of mandamus directing the respondent to promote the petitioner as conservancy supervisors as per the Tamilnadu Municipal Corporations Public Health Subordinate Service Rules within the time frame fixed by this Honourable Court.

ORDER

The petitioner was appointed as Sweeper on consolidated basis by the Erode Municipality, pursuant to the order dated 08.10.1998. His services were regularised on 19.10.1999 vide order dated 03.01.2000 on the file of the Erode Municipality. According to the petitioner, there are vacancies in the post of Conservancy Supervisor in Erode Corporation after the upgradation of Erode Municipality as City Corporation. The petitioner submitted a representation dated 10.12.2014 requesting the local body to promote him to the post of Conservancy Supervisor. However, there was no follow up action taken by the respondent resulting in filing this writ petition. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

2. The third respondent is directed to consider and dispose of the representation dated 10.12.2014 on merits and as per law. Such exercise shall be completed within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

3. The writ petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
