In view of the limited prayer made by the petitioner and taking into account the pendency of the writ petition, Mr.P.Sanjay Gandhi, learned Additional Government Pleader was directed to take notice.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.P.Sanjay Gandhi, learned Additional Government Pleader on behalf of the respondents.

3. The petitioner is presently working as Sanitary Supervisor. He is posted at 12th Division of Thanjavur Municipal Corporation. The petitioner is stated to be a Diabetic. According to the petitioner, he is not in a position to travel to 12th Division and as such, he made a request for transfer to a nearby Division.

4. The second respondent by letter dated 28.08.2014 informed the petitioner that his request would be considered after a period of one year. The grievance of the petitioner is that notwithstanding the said assurance, he has not been considered for transfer. The petitioner therefore submitted a representation on 12.11.2014 requesting the respondent to post him at a nearby Division. The https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

present request is to direct the second respondent to consider the said representation on merits.

5. The respondent is directed to consider and dispose of the representation submitted by the petitioner on 12.11.2014 on merits and in the light of the earlier letter dated 28.08.2014. Such exercise shall be completed within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. The writ petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
