Prayer : Habeas Corpus Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Habeas Corpus, to call for the entire records, relating to the petitioner's husband detention under Tamil Nadu Act 14 of 1982 vide detention order, dated 19.03.2024 on the file of the second respondent herein made in proceedings Memo C.No.25/G/IS/2024, quash the same as illegal and consequently direct the respondents herein to produce the petitioner's husband P.Arokiadass, S/o.Pathiyanathan, aged 32 years before this Hon'ble High Court and set the petitioner's husband at liberty from detention, now the petitioner's husband detained as Central Prison, Coimbatore.

The petitioner herein is the wife of the detenu viz., P.Arokiadass, S/o.Pathiyanathan, the detenue, now confined at Central Prison, Coimbatore, has come forward with this petition challenging the detention order passed by the second respondent dated 19.03.2024 slapped on her

husband, branding him as "Goonda" under the Tamil Nadu Prevention of Dangerous Activities of Bootleggers, Drug Offenders, Forest Offenders, Goondas, Immoral Traffic Offenders, Sand Offenders, Slum Grabbers and Video Pirates Act, 1982 [Tamil Nadu Act, 14 of 1982].

2. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that the order of detention passed by the second respondent as against the petitioner's husband, dated 20.03.2024 has been revoked by the Government in G.O.Rt.No.2600, Home, Prohibition and Excise (XII) Department, dated 02.05.2024 and he has also produced a copy of the said order.
