Respondents Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking for the relief of issuance of writ of Mandamus to direct the 1st respondent herein to consider the petitioner's representation dated 7.7.2015 and grant permission to conduct the Mariamman festival cultural events fixed by the Kadampur village people on 8.8.2015 to 10.8.2015.

ORDER

The petitioner has come to this Court seeking the relief of issuance of writ of mandamus to direct the 1st respondent herein to consider the petitioner's representation dated 7.7.2015 and grant permission to conduct the Mariamman festival cultural events fixed by the Kadampur village people on 8.8.2015 to 10.8.2015.

2. The petitioner claims to be the organiser of the Kadampur Maariamman temple festival. He submitted a representation dated 7.7.2015 to the 1st respondent seeking permission to conduct cultural events in the temple festival to be held on 8.8.2015 to 10.8.2015. Since the petitioner has not been favoured with any response, he came forward before this Court with the present writ petition.

3. Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that in the event of permission granted by the respondents, there would not be any law and order problem and obscenity and vulgarity will not be there and prays for appropriate orders.

4. Heard the submissions of Mr.N.Roofus Abraham, learned Government Advocate, who accepts notice on behalf of the respondents.

5. This Court, in the facts and circumstances of the case, without going into the merits of the representation dated 7.7.2015, made by the petitioner, directs the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 7.7.2015 and pass orders in accordance with law on or before 31.7.2015.

6. The writ petition is disposed of accordingly. However, there is no order as to costs.
