This Writ Petition is filed by the petitioner for a Writ of Mandamus to consider his representation dated 07.08.2017, seeking appointment under Ex-Servicemen category. A notice was ordered on 18.09.2017. Now, the petitioner has been appointed as an Village Administrative Officer. Hence, the Writ Petition has become infructuous.

2.When the matter is taken up for hearing, Mr.S.L.Venkatesan, learned counsel for the petitioner sought permission of this Court to withdraw this Writ Petition and he has also given a letter dated 21.05.2018, before the Registry for withdrawal of the same.

3.Based on the letter and considering the submission of the learned counsel for the petitioner, this Writ Petition is dismissed as withdrawn. No costs.
