Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the second respondent to effect a new service connection to the petitioner's house at Plot No.4, Varadarajan Nagar, Moorai, Veerapuram Panchayat, Avadi, Chennai - 600 055 as contemplated under Section 43 of the Electricity Act, 2003.

The relief sought for in the present writ petition is to provide new Electricity Service Connection in the premises of the petitioner.

The learned counsel appearing on behalf of the respondent-TANGEDCO made a submission that the Electricity Service Connection has already been provided as per the receipt submitted by the petitioner. Accordingly, the grievance of the petitioner was redressed. Thus, no further adjudication needs to entertained in respect of the grounds raised in the present writ petition.
