ORDER
This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking direction to the respondent police to complete the investigation in Crime No.352 of 2023 dated 28.09.2023 in the above case and to file a final report on completion of the investigation before the concerned Jurisdictional court
2. It is the case of the petitioner that on 17.09.2023, when the petitioner along with her son and mother-in-law were in their residence, A1 and A2 came to the petitioner's residence and threatened her motherin-law to withdraw her case which was filed against the accused 1 to 3 in E.P.No.4 of 2023 pending on the file of Sub Court, Arakkonam with regard to the land dispute between the petitioner's mother-in-law and the accused 1 to 4. Thereafter, the accused persons threatened the petitioner and her mother-in-law and brutally attacked them using a wooden log, due to which the petitioner sustained grievous injuries. Hence, the petitioner was constrained to file a criminal case in complaint No.1244 of 2023 against the accused persons before the respondent police. Page No.2 of 4
3. Learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that subsequent to the registration of FIR, till date, the respondent police have not taken any effective steps to complete the investigation. Hence, this Court may issue a direction to the respondent police to complete the investigation and file a final report within the time that may be stipulated by this Court.
4. The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondent police submitted that the charge sheet is ready and the investigation will be completed within a period of two weeks.
5. In view of the submission made by the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondent police, the Criminal Original Petition is closed with a direction to the respondent to complete the investigation within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and file a final report within the said period of time.
