The present criminal original petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent to register the petitioner's complaint dated 28.05.2015 and to investigate the same and to file a final report.

2. The petitioner lodged a complaint against one Selvaraj for the allegation of cheating. Till date, no action has been taken on the said complaint. Hence, the present criminal original petition has been filed.

3. Today, when the matter was taken up for consideration, learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that on the complaint dated 28.05.2015 given by the petitioner, FIR has been registered in Crime No.381 of 2015 for offences under Section 420, 506[i] IPC and the same is under investigation.

4. In view of the above, the respondent is directed to investigate the case in Crime No.381 of 2015 pending on his file and file a final report as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of four months, from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The Criminal Original Petition is closed.
