2. These writ petitions have been filed to direct respondents to disburse the compensation amount awarded under Award No.24/2023 dated 30.11.2023 pertaining to proceedings No.02/222/Ni.A.1 to the petitioners.

3. Heard learned counsel for the petitioners and the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents and perused the materials available on record.

4. The case of the petitioners is that though award has been passed awarding compensation to the petitioners as early as on 30.11.2023, the compensation amount has not been disbursed to them till date. In this regard they have also issued notice to the respondents seeking disbursement of 2/5

compensation amount. However, the amount has not been disbursed to the petitioners. Hence, the present Writ Petition.

5. The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents on instructions submitted that as the Wakf Board is claiming right over the award amount, they will deposit the amount before the Land Acquisition Tribunal.

6. In view of the dispute raised with regard to the title, the respondents are directed to deposit the award amount before the Land Acquisition Tribunal within a period of one month from the date of receipt of a copy of this Order. Thereafter, the petitioners shall make necessary application before the Tribunal for release of the amount and let the Tribunal decide the rights of the parties and release the award amount.

7. Accordingly, these Writ Petitions are disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed. 26.04.2024 vrc Index :Yes/No Internet :Yes/No : Yes/No 3/5
