Respondents Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents 1 and 2 to consider and pass orders on the representation dated 24.10., followed by a reminder dated 12.04.2017 seeking consideration for appointment as Packer Clerk on the basis of the selection held on 19.01.2015 in the first respondent's office, on merits and as per law within a time to be stipulated by this Hon'ble Court.

By consent, the writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal.

2.Mr.S.Gunasekaran, the learned Additional Government Pleader takes notice on behalf of the respondents. 3.The writ petitioner was sponsored through the Employment Exchange for appointment to the post of Packer Clerk. The writ petitioner attended the interview and successfully got selected on 19.01.2015. For want of production of certain documents, the appointment of the writ petitioner was deferred at that point of time.

The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner contended that the required documents sought for by the respondent was submitted by the writ petitioner and in spite of that, no order of appointment was issued. In this regard, the writ petitioner submitted a representation on 12.04.2017 and no decision is taken on the representation submitted by the writ petitioner.

5. The learned counsel restricted his prayer by contending that it is suffice if a direction is given to the respondents to consider the representation.

6.In view of the limited prayer sought for in the writ petition, this court is inclined to direct the first respondent to consider the representation submitted by the writ petitioner on 12.04.2017 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The writ petitioner is directed to enclose the copy of the representation along with the order of this court. No costs. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
