ORDER

The applicants are the rectification petitioners. After the rectification petition was instituted, it is stated that the petitioners became aware that the first respondent had executed assignment deed dated 27.01.2018 in favour of the

sixth respondent. As a result, it is stated that it has become necessary to incorporate averments in the petition relating to the assignee.

2. Only the sixth respondent is represented by counsel today. Learned counsel submits that he should be permitted to file a counter in response to the amended petition.

3. Considering the reasons set out in the affidavit in support of the application, I am satisfied that sufficient cause is shown to allow the application for amendment. Such amendment does not alter the cause of action. Therefore, this application is allowed as prayed for. As a corollary, the petitioners are directed to carry out the amendments in the petition on or before 05.06.2026 and serve a copy of the amended petition on the parties within a week therefrom.
