O R D E R
The relief sought for in this Writ Petition is for a direction to direct the respondent to promote the petitioner to the post of Administrative Officer on par with her junior by including her name in the panel for the year 2013 in the graduate category in the appropriate place by considering the B.A(Histroy) Degree obtained by the petitioner as valid degree with all consequential and other retrospective monetary benefits.
2.The validity of the degree possessed by a candidate to be verified in accordance with Rules, and in accordance with the Government Orders passed regarding the equivalence of degrees issued by various Universities. However, the writ petitioner claims that the degree of B.A.(History) possessed by her to be considered as a valid degree.
3.The validity of the degree is to be decided in accordance with the Rules and Regulations in force. In this regard, the writ petitioner submitted a representation to the respondent on 13.05.2014 and the same is yet to be considered.
4.Thus, without going into the merits and demerits of the matter, the respondent is directed to consider the representation submitted by the writ petitioner dated 13.05.2014 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The Writ Petition stands disposed of accordingly. No costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
