ORDER

The petitioner has come to this Court seeking the relief of issuance of writ of mandamus to direct the respondent to give permission to the petitioner to conduct a Cultural program scheduled to be held on 31.07.2015 at Arulmigu Shri Devi Karumariamman temple, Periyagampiyam village, Annanagar, Natrampalli Taluk, Vellore District, by considering the petitioner's representation dated 13.7.2015.

2. The petitioner claims to be the organiser of the festival of Arulmigu Shri Devi Karumariamman temple, Periyagampiyam village, Annanagar, Natrampalli Taluk, Vellore District. He submitted a representation dated 13.7.2015 to the respondent seeking permission to conduct cultural events in the temple festival to be held on 31.7.2015. Since the petitioner has not been favoured with any response, he came forward before this Court with the present writ petition.

3. Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that in the event of permission granted by the respondent, there would not be any law and order problem and obscenity and vulgarity will not be there and prays for appropriate orders.

4. Heard the submissions of V.Subbiah, learned Special Government Pleader, who accepts notice on behalf of the respondent.

5. This Court, in the facts and circumstances of the case, without going into the merits of the representation dated 13.7.2015, made by the petitioner, directs the respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 13.7.2015 and pass orders in accordance with law on or before 27.7.2015.

6. The writ petition is disposed of accordingly. However, there is no order as to costs.
