JUDGMENT
(Delivered by the Hon'ble Acting Chief Justice) Heard Mr.T.M.Pappiah, learned counsel for the appellant; Mr.A.Edwin Prabakar, learned State Government Pleader for respondents 1 to 3 and 5 and 6; and Mr.N.R.R.Arun Natarajan, learned
Special Government Pleader (HR & CE) for the fourth respondent.
2. This writ appeal is directed against the order of the learned Single Judge dated 6.2.2024 passed in W.P.No.2520 of 2024, whereby, the learned Single Judge directed the disciplinary authorities to complete the disciplinary proceedings initiated against the appellant and pass final orders within a period of six months from the date of receipt of the copy of the order.
3. Today, when the writ appeal is taken up for hearing, learned State Government Pleader submitted that the disciplinary authority is ready to commence the disciplinary proceedings and conclude the same within the time stipulated by the learned Single Judge, without causing any delay.
4. Learned counsel for the appellant fairly submitted that the appellant is ready to cooperate with the authorities for completion of the disciplinary proceedings initiated against her within the time stipulated by the learned Single Judge.
5. In the light of the above submissions, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, we direct that the authorities concerned to conduct the enquiry on day-to-day basis and conclude the disciplinary proceedings within the period fixed by the learned Single Judge. The appellant is also directed to cooperate with the authorities for completion of the disciplinary proceedings within the stipulated period.
With the above observation and direction, the writ appeal stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, C.M.P.No.9258 of 2024 is closed.
