(Order of the Court was made by the Hon'ble Chief Justice) Heard on admission.

2. The present writ petition under Article 226 of the Constitution

of India seeks a direction to the first respondent to dispose of the Consumer Appeal in F.A.No.917 of 2024 in C.C.No.30 of 2023.

3. Taking us through the various order sheets passed in the appeal, learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that on every occasion the appeal has been adjourned for one reason or the other and the appeal is pending since 2023. Learned counsel further submitted that as per Section 52 of the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, the appeal is to be decided as expeditiously as possible. Hence, he prays for suitable direction to the first respondent for early disposal of the appeal.

4. Taking into consideration that the appeal is pending since 2023, we request the first respondent to decide the appeal of the petitioner on merits and in accordance with law as expeditiously as possible. Both the petitioner and the private respondents are directed to co-operate with the first respondent for disposal of the appeal.

With the above observation, the writ petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
