ORDER
This Writ Petition has been filed challenging the impugned notification, dated 08.12.2025 and the consequential G.O., dated 27.02.2026.
2. Mrs.C.Meera Arumugam, learned Additional Government Pleader, accepts notice on behalf of the respondents.
3. Even though the aforesaid notification and the G.O. has been challenged in this writ petition, learned counsel for the petitioner, on instructions, would now submit that, it would suffice if the representation of the petitioner dated 11.12.2025 seeking inclusion of Nallappalayam Panchayat in the notification, which is challenged in this writ petition, is considered on merits and in accordance with law, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

The petitioner had given a representation on 11.12.2025 to the respondents seeking inclusion of Nallappalayam Panchayat in the impugned notification dated 08.12.2025 and the consequential G.O. dated 27.02.2026. Admittedly, the said representation was not considered by the respondents. No Page No.2 of 4
prejudice would be caused to the respondents, if the petitioner's representation as stated supra is considered on merits and in accordance with law, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court. This Court is not expressing any opinion on the merits of the petitioner's representation.
5. Accordingly, this Writ Petition is disposed of by directing the 1st respondent to pass final orders on merits and in accordance with law on the petitioner's representation, dated 11.12.2025 seeking inclusion of the Nallappalayam Panchayat in the notification, dated 08.12.2025 issued by the 1st respondent and the consequential G.O.(Ms) No.58, Rural Development and Panchayat Development Department, dated 27.02.2026 in addition to other villages already mentioned in the notification, within a period of eight (8) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
