Mr.D.Suriyanarayanan, learned Additional Government Pleader takes notice for the respondents. By consent of the parties, the writ petition is disposed of at the admission stage itself.

The petitioner seeks for a Mandamus directing first respondent to issue patta forthwith to the petitioner for 1320 square feet of land out of 71 ares in R.S.No.642 in Santhappettai in Tirukoilur Taluk, Villupuram District, bounded on the north by Plot No.6, on the South by Darga Street, on the East by Nooran Bi's site and on the West by Akbar Sheriff's site, based on his representation dated 20.11.2017.
4. The grievance of the petitioner is that the said representation has not been considered so far. This Court, at this stage, is not expressing any view on the merits of the claim made by the petitioner as it is for the 4th respondent to consider and decide the same on merits and in accordance with law. Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the 4th respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 20.11.2017 and pass orders on the same on merits and in accordance with law, after hearing the rival claimants, if any. Such exercise shall be done by the 4th respondent within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
