Prayer : Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India in the nature of Writ of Habeas Corpus, directing the first respondent herein to produce the body and person, son namely E.Raghu aged 31 years before this Court, and set at liberty.

ORDER

(Order of the Court was delivered by S.S.SUNDAR,J.) The father has filed this petition for the production of detenu/son.

2. Even in the petition, it is mentioned that the detenu has been targeted in connection with the crime relating to the collection of illegal deposits to the tune of several crores. It is in the said circumstances, this Court earlier by an order dated 01.11.2023, directed the Deputy Superintendent of Police, Villupuram District, to file a Status Report.

3. Now, it is reported by Mr.E.Raj Thilak, learned Additional Public Prosecutor, that the detenu is arrested in connection with 2/4

Crime No.650 of 2023, Brammadesam Police Station, Villupuram, on 06.12.2023 and he is in the judicial custody.

4. Recording the statement of the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, H.C.P. No.667 of 6023 is closed.
