This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the trial Court to expedite the trial of case in S.T.C.No.133 of 2022 on the file of the learned JM Court -1, at Mettur, Salem District and complete the same within the time frame fixed by this Court.

2.It is the submission of learned counsel for the petitioner that petitioner is falsely accused in S.T.C.No.133 of 2022. There is no progress in this case. Not even a single witness was examined in this case. Therefore, this petition. 3.The learned Government Advocate (Criminal side) submitted that witness will be produced in future date of hearings. 4.It is seen that this case is pending from 2022. There is no material produced before me to show that pendency details of cases pending on the file of learned Judicial Magistrate No.1, Mettur, Salem District. In the absence of pendency details of learned Judicial Magistrate No.1, Mettur, Salem District, this Court cannot fix time frame for disposal of cases filed in 2022. 2/5

5.In view of the concern expressed by the learned counsel for the petitioner, this Court directs the learned Judicial Magistrate No.1, Mettur, Salem District, to dispose the case in S.T.C.No.133 of 2022 as expeditiously as possible.
