ORDER
This writ petitioner seeks a direction for the issuance of a Mandamus, to direct the respondents to complete the investigation relating to the petitioner's complaint dated 08.12.2016, which is registered under Cr. No.2016 of 2016 dated
08.12.2016 by the Inspector of Police, M-1, Madhavaram Police Station, forthwith and to file a final report in the matter at the earliest point of time.
2.Heard Mr.S.Haja Mohideen Gisthi, learned counsel for petitioner and Mr.Vairamoorthy, learned Special Government Pleader for respondents.
3.The complaint of the petitioner in Crime No.2016 of 2016 has been registered on 08.12.2016 by the third respondent for the offence under Section 406 I.P.C. Pursuant thereto, arrest of the accused has also been effected.
4.Learned Special Government Pleader submits that the accused wrongly handed over the possession of the vehicle to another and the same is yet to be recovered. 5.It is needless to state that in event of effecting recovery of vehicle, it is open to the petitioner to seek return of the same thereof under due process of law. 6.In view of the above, the third respondent is directed to complete investigation in Cr.No.2016 of 2016 as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
7.With the above direction, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
