ORDER

The present writ petition has been filed praying for a writ of Mandamus, directing the 1st Respondent to issue FL2 liquor licence to the petitioner club namely Garment City Recreation club based on the application dated 27.01.2025.

2. At the outset, learned Special Government Pleader would submit that, pursuant to the above application, the Commissioner, Prohibition and Excise Department, vide his communication dated 03.07.2025 forwarded a copy of the representation to the District Collector, Tiruppur District, to make an enquiry and send a detailed report. Upon receipt of the said report, the petitioner's application would be processed in accordance with law, within a time period to be stipulated by this Court. Agreed to by the learned counsel for petitioner.

3. In view of the same, taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and the limited relief sought for in this Writ Petition, there shall be a direction to the District Collector/second respondent to act on the communication dated 03.07.2025 and submit a detailed report within a period of four weeks and thereafter the Commissioner/first respondent shall pass appropriate orders in accordance with law, after affording reasonable

opportunity of hearing to petitioner and any other interested persons, within a period of four (4) weeks thereafter.
