Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate for the respondent - State.

Learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) would submit that petitioner demanded illegal gratification from the de facto complainant and received the same for issuing Patta.

Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, the sentence of imprisonment alone is suspended pending disposal of the appeal and the petitioner is ordered to be released on bail on her executing a bond for a sum of Rs.10,000/- with two sureties for a like sum each to the satisfaction of Special Judge, Prevention of Corruption Act Cases, Chennai, and on further condition that she shall report before the trial Court on the first working day of every month until further orders.
