The Contempt Petition has been filed to punish the respondent for willful disobedience of the order of this Court in Crl.O.P.No.15271 of 1/4

2023 dated 10.07.2023.

2.When the matter was taken up for hearing, an affidavit of the respondent was filed and the relevant portion is extracted hereunder: "8.It is submitted that after completion of elaborate and detailed investigation, based on the statements of witnesses, material evidence on 25.09.2024 I have filed the final report against the accused before the Xth Metropolitan Magistrate Court, Egmore vide Efiling No.LTN20230000570C202400264 dated 25.09.2024 and the same was yet to be taken on file."

3.In view of the above, there shall be a direction to the learned X Metropolitan Magistrate Court, Egmore, to act upon the final report filed by the respondent Police in Crime No.328 of 2022, within a period of four (4) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 4.Accordingly, this Contempt Petition is disposed of with the above directions.
