ORDER

The order passed in the Writ Petition was a direction to the Tahsildar to consider the application preferred by the petitioner on its own merits.

2. Today, when the matter was called, the learned Special Government Pleader produced a copy of the proceedings of the Tahsildar, Pethanaickenpalayam Taluk, Salem, passed in Na.Ka.No.2029-2023-A2, dated 11.07.2024, whereby the petitioner's request for issuance of a joint patta has been considered and rejected.

3. As such, the disobedience alleged against the respondents cannot be termed to be willful in nature. In case the petitioner is aggrieved against the rejection order, liberty is hereby granted to her to challenge the same in accordance with law.
