The present writ petition has been filed praying for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 22.02.2022.
2. According to the petitioner, he is residing in the land comprised in Survey No.551/3, Sellarampatti Village, Elavampatti post, Thirupathur, by constructing a hut. It is stated that the said land where the petitioner is residing, is classified as poramboke land. The petitioner is also paying taxes and charges to the panchayath all these years. It is further stated that the petitioner also repeatedly approached the revenue authorities to issue patta to him, but so far, his claim has not been considered. While so, the petitioner came to know that patta was granted in favour of the adjacent owners in Survey No. 551/2 and 551/4 but his application was not considered. The petitioner therefore submitted a representation dated 22.02.2022 to the respondents seeking for issuance of patta but it is still https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
pending without consideration. Hence, this writ petition.
3. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents and perused the materials placed on record.

Considering the fact and circumstances of this case and and having regard to the submissions made by the learned counsel for either side, this Court directs the second respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 22.02.2022, after providing an opportunity of hearing to him and thereafter pass an order on merits and in accordance with law within a period of six weeks on receipt of a copy of this order. 5.
With the above direction, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
