ORDER
The present Writ Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the 1st respondent to dispose of the appeal filed by the petitioner in appeal No.Rc. 6753/ Aa4/ 23/ 07/ 2025 within the time that may be stipulated by this Court.
2. Mr.S.Balamurugan, learned Government Advocate takes notice on behalf of the respondents.
3. It is the case of the petitioner that he submitted that an application to the respondents seeking issuance of legal heir in respect of his deceased sister namely Govindammal however, the same was dismissed on 27.06.2025. As against the order of dismissal, the petitioner preferred an appeal before the 1st respondent in appeal No.Rc. 6753/ Aa4/ 23/ 07/ 2025. However, the said appeal is pending consideration and yet to be disposed of. Hence, the petitioner has come up with the present Writ Petition.
4. Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that, it would suffice, if this Court issues a direction to the 1st respondent to consider the petitioner's appeal and pass appropriate orders on the same within the time that may be stipulated by this Court.
5. On the above contention, this Court heard the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents.
6. In view of the limited relief sought for in this Writ Petition, this Court without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, directs the 1st respondent to consider the appeal filed by the petitioner in appeal No.Rc. 6753/ Aa4/ 23/ 07/ 2025 and pass appropriate orders on the same in accordance with law within a period of twelve (12) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after affording an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner and any other interested parties.
7. This Writ Petition stands disposed of with the aforesaid direction. There shall be no order as to costs.
