Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the 1st and 2nd respondents to consider the petitioner to the post of Sanitary Inspector in the Municipalities/ Local Bodies of the State by considering the Sanitary Inspector Course Certificate issued by the All India Institute of Local Self Government, Bombay as equivalent.

2.The petitioner obtained Diploma Certificate from the All India Institute of Local Self-Government Mumbai. According to the petitioner, the first respondent passed G.O.No.97 Municipal Administration and Water Supply Department dated 10.04.1996 relaxing https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
the regulations for those who approached the Court, who also possessed Diploma Certificate as the petitioner. 3.The petitioner seeks similar treatment as given to those persons who are covered by G.O.No.97 Municipal Administration and Water Supply Department dated 10.04.1996. In this regard, the petitioner made a representation dated 22.12.2014 to the respondents 1 to 3.
4.Though the petitioner has sought for a larger relief, during the hearing of the writ petition, the learned counsel for the petitioner fairly submitted that the petitioner would be satisfied if a direction is issued to the first respondent to consider and dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 22.12.2014. 5.In the circumstances, the writ petition is disposed of directing the first respondent to consider and dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 22.12.2014, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
