O R D E R

This petition has been filed to direct the respondents not to harass the petitioners in any manner.

2. It is the case of the petitioners that the 1st petitioner is the daughter of the 2nd and 3rd petitioners. The 1st petitioner was living with her husband Mr.Kandan at Amman Koil Street, Kundrathur, Chennai from the date of marriage viz., 20.08.2012. The 1st petitioner husband Kandan was working at Chrompet in IPR

Spare Parts Company. The 1st petitioner's husband left home on 14.01.2015 at 2.00 p.m. and did not return back till 22.01.2015. The 1st petitioner along with her relatives took all efforts to trace the 1st petitioner's husband and since they could not trace him, finally, a complaint was lodged with the 1st respondent. Subsequently, on compulsion of the 1st respondent police, the 1st petitioner withdrew the complaint. Now, the police are frequently calling the petitioners under the guise of enquiry and harassing the petitioners on the complaint lodged by one Vijayakumar as against the 1st petitioner's husband and others.

3. When the matter is taken up for consideration, learned counsel for the petitioners submits that under the guise of enquiry, the respondents are frequently harassing them. Hence, a direction may be issued to the respondents, not to harass the petitioners.

4. Learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that the 1st petitioner's husband collected amount from Vijayakumar and various other persons and cheated them. Hence, a complaint was registered in Crime No.54 of 2015 on 15.04.2015 and only for the purpose of investigation, the petitioners were called for enquiry.

5. Considering the submissions made on either side, the respondents are directed to conduct the enquiry in accordance with law, without harassing the petitioners. However, the petitioners are directed to cooperate for the enquiry with the respondent police. Accordingly, the criminal original petition is disposed of.
