This petition has been filed to direct the first respondent to register the complaint dated 24.09.2015 made by the petitioner and investigate the same in accordance with law and file the final report.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the State.

3. On a reading of the complaint dated 24.09.2015, it essentially appears to be a civil dispute, inasmuch as the opposite party had issued some cheques, which have also been dishonoured and proceedings u/s 138 of the Negotiable Instruments Act have been initiated. no positive direction can be issued to the respondent police to register an FIR.

Accordingly, this petition is closed with liberty to the petitioner to work out his remedy in the manner known to law.
