By consent, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal.

2. The petitioner claims that he was appointed as an Advertising Canvasser vide proceedings, dated 11.10.1973, and is doing the said business without any renewal. He would state that he has received a communication, dated 17.11.2014, from the Divisional Officer, Commercial Branch, Salem, calling upon him to submit a Canvassership recognition copy and RTGS particulars with regard to renewal and also the details regarding the payment of commission. The petitioner would further submit that vide his letter, dated 11.09.2014, he submitted necessary documents and also took a stand that since he has been appointed as a permanent Canvasser, there is no need for renewal of the same, however, the respondents are insisting on renwal of canvassership and, in this regard, he has submitted a representation, dated 13.03.2015, to the respondents and since he has not been favoured with any response, he has come forward to file this Writ Petition.

3. Heard the submissions of Mr.P.T.Ramkumar, learned Standing Counsel, who accepted notice on behalf of the respondents.

4. This Court, without going into the merits of the claim projected by the petitioner, and in the light of the facts and circumstances of the case, directs the petitioner to submit a copy of the Canvassership appointment letter, dated 11.10.1973, to the fourth respondent within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and the fourth respondent, on receipt of the same, is directed to consider and pass orders on the representation of the petitioner, dated 13.03.2015, in accordance with law within a period of four weeks thereafter and communicate the decision taken, to the petitioner.
