This petition has been filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C, seeking a direction to the respondent police to file a final report under Section 173(2) Cr.P.C. in respect of the case registered in Crime No.188 of 2014, within a time frame.

2. Mr.V.S.Mannarsamy, learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that even though, on the basis of the complaint lodged by the petitioner on 06.02.2014, a case has been registered in Cr.No. 188 of 2014 for the offences under Sections 420 and 506 (i) IPC, but, till date, no further steps have been taken and the final report has not been filed.

3. Mr.C.Emalias, learned Additional Public Prosecutor, who has taken notice for the respondent would submit that the investigation https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

is in progress and it will take some time to complete the investigation and to file a final report.

4. Considering the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side and taking into account the nature of allegations in the complaint, the second respondent police is directed to complete the investigation of the case in Cr.No.188 of 2014 in accordance with law and to file a final report, as expeditiously as possible.
