Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 23.04.2024 and cancel the patta in T.S.L.R.2022/18/01/001564SD dated 22.06.2022 and consequently restore back the land measuring 88 sq.mtrs., in Survey No.208/2A belonging to the petitioner.

The petitioner herein seeks a direction to the first respondent to consider his representation dated 23.04.2024 seeking cancellation of patta issued in favour of the fifth respondent in respect of his property situated in S.No.208/2A1.

2. According to the petitioner, he acquired right over the subject property vide settlement deed executed by his father dated 02.11.2011. Later revenue records also got mutated in his name and recently it came to the knowledge of the petitioner, the fifth respondent obtained a patta in his name in respect of subject property. Therefore, the petitioner submitted a representation on 23.04.2024 seeking cancellation of the patta issued in favour of the fifth respondent and the same has not been considered. Therefore, the petitioner is before this Court.

3. Mr.P.Sathish, learned Additional Government Pleader, who takes notice for the respondents 1 to 4 would submit that the representation of the petitioner will be considered, on its own merits, within a time frame fixed by this Court.

In view of the same, without going into the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, this Court is inclined to issue a direction to the third respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 23.04.2024 and pass final orders, on its own merits, within a period of 8 weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order, after issuing notice to the fifth respondent. 3/5

5. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
