Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for the issuance of writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent to consider the claim of the petitioner for upgradation as Special SubInspector of Police on completion of 25 years of service without reference to the punishment of Black Mark in Na.Ka.No.B1/76/1379/2014, Appeal No.55/2014 dated 05.06.2014 and pass orders in the representation made by the petitioner dated 18.05.2015 in the light of the legal position and in accordance with law. O R D E R

In view of the narrow prayer made by the petitioner to dispose of his representation, dated 18.05.2015 in the light of the judgment, dated 24.02.2015 made by this Court in W.P.No.17599 of 2007, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

2. The petitioner made a representation dated 18.05.2015 to the respondent to consider his claim for upgradation as Special SubInspector of Police without reference to imposition of Black Mark, in the light of the judgment referred to above.

In view of the narrow prayer made, the writ petition is disposed of by directing the respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 18.05.2015 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law and also in the light of the judgment referred to above, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
