ORDER
This Writ Petition is filed seeking to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent to issue permission and police protection to conduct cultural program (Adal Padal Nigalchi) in event of "PUTHUKOTTAI SREE MARIYAMMAN" Temple festival at Puthukottai, Tharapuram, Poosaripatti Post, Kadaiyampatti Taluk, Salem District on 12.05.2022 between 7.00 p.m. to 11.00 pm., pursuant to the petitioner's representation dated 01.05.2022.
2.Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) for the respondent. 3.The petitioner had made a representation before the respondent police on 01.05.2022 seeking permission to conduct cultural program (Adal Padal Nigalchi) in "PUTHUKOTTAI SREE MARIYAMMAN" Temple festival at Puthukottai, Tharapuram, Poosaripatti Post, Kadaiyampatti Taluk, Salem District on https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
01.05.2022 and the respondent police by an order dated 06.05.2022, refused permission to conduct the function at the concerned Temple.
4.From a perusal of the refusal order of the respondent, it is seen that the reasons stated therein by the respondent police is not convincing and satisfactory. It is seen that the respondent police have invented reasons for refusing permission and it is obviously not a good reason for refusal. Therefore, the order passed by the respondent police on 06.05.2022 is set aside.
5.Since the program is scheduled to be held on 12.05.2022, the respondent police is directed to pass a fresh order within a period of 2 days from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
6.With the above directions, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
