Respondent Writ Petition has been filed praying for issuance of a writ of mandamus, directing the respondent to give permission to conduct the dance programme at Kottai area, Uthukathamman Koil Street, Kadapakkam-603 304, Cheyyur Taluk, Kancheepuram District, festival of Kadapakkam Sri Uthukathamman Koil Thiruvila on 28.07.2015, on the representation dated 02.07.2015.

By consent, the Writ Petition is taken up for disposal.

2. The petitioner claims to be the Dharmakartha of Kadapakkam Sri Uthukathamman Koil, at Kottai area, Uthukathamman Koil Street, Kadapakkam-603 304, Cheyyar Taluk, Kancheepuram District, and he is head of the Organising Committee of the Temple Festival. He submitted a representtion, dated 02.07.2015, to the respondent, seeking permission to conduct a dance programme, to be held on 28.07.2015, and, since he has not been favoured with any response, he has come come forward to file this Writ Petition.

3. Learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that in the event of the permission being granted, there will not be any law and order problem and also no obscenity and vulgarity will be in place. Accordingly, he prays for appropriate orders. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

4. Heard Mrs.P.Rajalakshmi, learned Government Advocate, who accepted notice on behalf of the respondent.

5. This Court, without going into the merits of the case, directs the respondent to consdier and dispose of the representation of the petitioner, dated 02.07.2015, in accordance with law, and inform the decision taken to the petitioner, on or before 26.07.2015.
