ORDER

(The case has been heard through video conference) The petitioner, who was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 21.06.2020 for the offences punishable under Section 4 (1)(i), 4(1)(aaa) r/w 4(1-A) ii of the TNP Act r/w 328 of IPC, in Crime No.854 of 2020, seeks bail.

2. The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner was illegally found in possession of 113 litres of I.D.Arrack. 3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner was arrested on 21.06.2020 and he is in custody for 54 days.

4.The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) would submit that the petitioner has involved in 24 previous cases of similar nature and he has been involving in these cases from the year 2009. Hence, he vehemently opposes for the grant of bail to the petitioner.

5.Taking into consideration of the antecedents of the petitioner, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.

6.Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition stands dismissed.
