Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to transfer the petitioner, who is working as Quality Inspector at Cuddalore Region to work in the Sivagangai Region.

O R D E R

This Writ Petition is filed for issuing a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to transfer the petitioner, who is working as Quality Inspector at Cuddalore Region to work in the Sivagangai Region.

2. The case of the petitioner is that the petitioner was appointed as Bill Clerk on 27.01.2020 in the Tamil Nadu Civil Supplies Corporation Limited/first respondent herein and subsequently, he was promoted as Quality Inspector as per the order passed by the first respondent dated 10.03.2020 and posted at Cuddalore Region with effect from 08.05.2020. The petitioner states that one S.Kesavaraj, who was working as an Assistant Quality Inspector, was posted at Nilgiris Region as per the order of the first respondent herein and that the said S.Kesavaraj was re-transferred to the Sivagangai Region vide https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

order dated 25.02.2021. Now, the petitioner is working at Cuddalore and finds it difficult to maintain his family. Therefore, the petitioner submitted a representation dated 23.07.2020 before the respondents requesting them to transfer him to the Sivagangai Region, where his wife is working at Sivagangai. In this regard, the respondents have not taken any steps. Hence, the petitioner has come forward with the present writ petition before this Court.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner will be satisfied if a direction is issued to the Respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 23.07.2020 and dispose of the same within a stipulated time that may be framed by this Court.

4. Having regard to the limited scope of the prayer that is now sought for in this writ petition before this Court and taking into account the submissions made on either side, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the petitioner's representation or the case pleaded by the petitioner in the present writ petition, the Writ Petition is disposed of, with a direction to the Respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 23.07.2020 and pass appropriate orders, on merits and in accordance with law, after issuing notice to the petitioner and respondents within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
